I truly believe that everyone can be creative in some way. However, not everyone gets the opportunity to express their creativity. This lack of creativity may be because they never found what they were genuinely good at or never had the tools to do so. I think that many great minds go undiscovered for a variety of reasons and especially in cases where people come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many people with disadvantaged backgrounds are herded into certain ways of living life that shuffle them into poverty driven actions such as drugs, theft – or even simpler, low-level work that wastes their potential.

I decided to donate a 3-D printer to an organization called Youthbuild to provide a tool that is quite expensive and not accessible to disadvantaged young people. My hope is that this tool will help change someone’s life for the better by introducing them to a new passion.

As I said earlier, everyone has the potential to be creative if given the right environment and tools to do so. If you currently are unable to express yourself creatively, I urged you to seek out a way to do so. Human beings were meant to create; it’s one of the major differentiating factors between humans and animals.
